It’s a big day for the Swoosh. Today, Nike announced the launch of its first-ever maternity athletic apparel line: Nike (M).

According to the fitness brand, this much-needed (like, seriously, it’s about time) project was three years in the making. The moms and moms-to-be of the Nike design team spent over a year perfecting the fit foundation for the line. With the help of 30 athletes who were either pregnant or post-partum (as well as 150,000 body scans of women from around the world), Nike tested 70 materials till they found the nine palettes and four styles worthy of making the cut. Their goal? To create something that could be there for all stages of a woman’s athletic life, including motherhood.

“Our inspiration for this collection was fueled by what we heard from women of all body shapes, across sports, throughout the different stages of their lives, as well as our desire to serve them more thoughtfully,” the press release says. “We believe that through a more inclusive approach to design, we’re able to remove barriers that stand in the way of healthy lifestyles. Motherhood should be the start of a new stage—not a stop—in a woman’s sport journey.” Amen, Nike. Now, on to the good stuff…

The four styles included in the Nike (M) collection are intended to be your everyday workout essentials: the Swoosh Bra, the Pull Over, the Tank and the One Tight. Oh, and did we mention they’re all sustainably made using recycled materials? I know, we’re excited too. Keep reading for more info on each new piece (all modeled by elite and everyday athletes), and then mark your calendars for September 17 when the Nike (M) collection officially launches in stores and online at nike.com.

See you on the track, mama!

One feature this line had to have? Easy access for nursing and pumping. The Swoosh Bra does just that with its discreet inside panel that can easily accommodate a nursing pump (or, ya know, a baby). Per Nike, the bra adapts with the body using an elastic rib band slider and is made with sweat-wicking materials and extra padding to offer support and moisture management post-pregnancy.

The uniquely designed cover-up has a split hem feature that can be worn in reverse during pregnancy to make room for a growing belly (without sacrificing coverage). Post-pregnancy, the “tulip-design” fleece helps keep your baby covered for discreet nursing anytime, anywhere.

The Tank—along with the bra and tights—was stretched to its maximum capacity for up to 17 hours to make sure the fabric could recover its original form (hint: it did). In addition to growing with you, the tank is made with breathable Dri-Fit materials and a scoop neck design for easy access when nursing.

The Nike One (M) Tight was made to stretch with your growing body while maintaining a flattering shape from zero to nine months and beyond. Plus, it has a wide, adjustable waistband that you can fold over your bump for additional support or down along your hips once the little one has arrived.
