March and White Design is an international design studio with offices in Los Angeles, New York and London. We specialize in designing high end luxury residential projects with private clients, developers and 5 star luxury hotel brands. Our new Beverly Hills studio is seeking a talented all round junior interior designer with a background in hospitality and/or residential development work to join a dynamic team in a fast growing studio.
The opportunity is to take ownership on a range of elegantly conceived projects at the highest level.
You will work closely with a team of skilled designers and technical architects and are expected to be ‘hands-on’ in your approach whilst using your initiative to complete tasks with a calm natured response.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, and should have a combination of interior architecture, interior design, and FF&E knowledge. The candidate should have proven experience with large scale projects, be comfortable working autonomously at times, and possess exceptional attention to detail.
Education:
You must have a Bachelors in Interior Design or Architecture or similar, with 1-3years’ post-graduate experience.
Required
Skills:
Ability to create and develop conceptual designs including the ability to use color and texture
Proven skills in Photo
Shop, Indesign, AutoCad and sketching (3D drawing skills would be advantageous)
Enscape 3D experience is a plus
Revit experience is a plus
Proven delivery (either individually or as part of a team) in producing SD & DD drawing sets for a project
Experienced in working in all workstages of a project from concept to completion
Experience reviewing shop drawings and submittals from various trades
Proven experience in dealing with suppliers and contractors
Desire to take ownership of a project and help guide team members from concept through documentation
Self-motivated, a good team member who can be relied upon to work quickly and efficiently in an organized manner
Self-confident and receptive to constructive feedback
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual
Exceptional attention to detail
An ability to communicate effectively in client presentations and meetings
Responsibilities:
Working accurately to a written or verbal brief
Developing innovative concepts for large scale residential and hospitality projects including space planning, detailed design, selecting materials, and FF&E
Producing as part of a team all workstages of a project including concept through documentation
Developing detailed drawings and specifications based on approved design concepts
Attending client meetings and presentations
Coordinating with architects, lighting designers and other consultants to keep the project moving forward
