Jinx McDonald Interior Designs, Inc. (JMID) recently completed the remodel of a condominium located on Gulfshore Boulevard, transforming it into the owner’s personal beach retreat.

As you enter the newly remodeled three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 3,145 square foot condominium, the great room is painted a crisp white to keep the space open and airy. Natural, organic textures are showcased throughout the furnishings for balance and contrast.
In the kitchen, the variegated backsplash of handmade aqua tiles sets off the white kitchen cabinets and the Quartz countertops. The breakfast room was turned into a secondary lounge and television viewing area, with swivel chairs that can turn to also take in the beach view.
In the master suite, a relaxed blue and white palette was utilized. In the en-suite bathroom, the double vanity cabinets were stained a driftwood brown, pulling color from the veining of the Calcutta marble porcelain tile. A cumbersome built-in tub was removed and replaced with a sleek freestanding tub. A blue and cream ocean life wallpaper adds movement and whimsy to the room.
Throughout the home, new wood flooring replaced outdated bamboo, while new cabinetry, countertops, plumbing and appliances were essential for this facelift.
To round out the list of upgrades to the condo, a two-foot header across the expanse of sliding doors was eliminated in the great room, as not to impede the view of the Gulf.
