The gingerbread men came out to play last Saturday. Many thanks to Project Graduation volunteers as well as the many volunteers who came out to help. Now we get to light them up and keep working on the beautiful decorations in our Central Business District.
Thirtieth annual Festival of Lights and Lighted Parade: The chamber is hard at work organizing the 30th annual Festival of Lights and Lighted Parade, which is also the 15thanniversary of Smitty the Gingerbread Man! Join us Dec. 4 in Downtown Smithville for a full day of indoor and outdoor vendors, live music all day in the gazebo, kid and adult cornhole tournaments, kid’s fest area, free Playhouse Smithville production of “Christmas in Smithville” play and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., then the lighting of the gazebo and the lighted parade (gazebo lighting at 6:30 p.m., parade at 7 p.m.).
