LAFAYETTE, Ind. — After nearly a decade of event hosting, Carnahan Hall will be closing its doors at the end of November.
Carnahan Hall is a multi-purpose venue building in Lafayette that has been used to host weddings, buffet halls, dressing rooms and more. The venue included its own sound system, staging, projector and full bar.
On Monday, Carnahan Hall’s Facebook page announced that the venue will be permanently closing its doors and that items within the facility, such as office supplies, sound cables, microphone stands and decorations, among others will be sold in-person on Monday, Nov. 29 and on Tuesday, Nov. 30 from noon to 7 p.m.
“Thank you all for your support and we look forward to having one last chance to say farewell!” Carnahan Hall posted on its Facebook page.
Items for sale as well as the rules of sale are listed on Carnahan Hall’s website at www.carnahanhall.com/itemsforsale. The rules listed include:
“1. All sales final:
All sales are final. No exceptions. Payment must be made and pick up must be done by the date listed or you will forfeit your payment/item and it will go to the next buyer.
If you would prefer to pay in person and the item is still available online, please call (765)337-0065 and let us know when you are planning on coming so we can ensure we will be there. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.
3. Pick up:
Local pick up only. We will not be able to help move or load your items. Items MUST be picked up Monday November 29th OR Tuesday November 30th AT THE VERY LATEST. The ONLY EXCEPTION to this, is if the description of that item said “AVAILABLE NOW FOR PICK UP”.
4. All items are as is:
Items may have wear and tear. Items are sold as is.
5. Please check back:
We are working to list items, so please check back regularly as we will be periodically adding more!
5. Items that don’t sell online/items not listed online:
There are SEVERAL smaller items (microphone stands, xls cables, HDMI cables, office supplies, décor items) that WILL NOT BE LISTED ONLINE . These items as well as any items online items that do not sell, will be laid out at Carnahan Hall IN PERSON CLOSING SALE on November 29 and 30th from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. for a final closing in person sale.”
Items for sale that are listed on Carnahan Hall’s website are divided into nine categories: sound and A/V equipment, catering ware, chairs, décor, filing and storage, tools and equipment, tables, additional furniture and lighting.
Carnahan Hall’s Facebook page states that cash, card or checks will be accepted for in-person purchases
