Working from home can present many challenges: excited pets, noisy kids and spotty internet – just to name a few. While we can’t prevent your kids from interrupting or your pets from causing trouble, there are some convenient technological fixes that can make it easier to stay on task while you’re working from home.

If WiFi connectivity has been an issue, one simple solution is to look into a range extender that will help improve your signal throughout the house. No matter whether you’re planning to keep cool by working in the basement or are planning to take your laptop outdoors, one bestselling WiFi extender can easily transform any area of your house into a workspace.

What is it?

The TP-Link N300 WiFi Range Extender is an affordable option, currently on sale on Amazon. Regularly priced at $30, it’s now on sale for $25 to help make your at-home workspace even more efficient. Simply plug it in within range of your router and say goodbye to dead zones for good.

Featuring a simple wall plug design, this WiFi extender doesn’t take up any valuable floor space, and connects to your existing network in minutes. With two external antennas for faster and more reliable WiFi, it’s able to boost speeds on wireless devices, making it a must-have for any home that’s struggling with spotty connection.

What shoppers are saying

Backed by more than 27,000 reviews worldwide, this WiFi extender has earned a solid reputation as an affordable and easy to install device.

“Great product. It really increases the Wi-Fi signal throughout the house,” reads one review. “My modem is in my basement so the signal in my room is very weak. The extender lets me get full bars or close to full bars upstairs. It is also very easy to set up and manage the devices connected to the extender.”

“We live in a large three story home, and we purchased the TP-Link N300 to extend the range of our Wi-Fi to the most remote corners of our house to allow the teens the ability to play online video games and stream media,” added another. “We placed the extender in between the router and the gaming systems, and we no longer receive accessibility complaints: MOM WIN!”

Many reviewers have shared that while this WiFi extender does work for certain connections, it’s not the best when paired with 5G technology.

“Please, keep in mind this device does not support 5G network,” cautioned one reviewer. “I had to disable 5G on my router as this device tried to connect to 5G and failed.”

The verdict

For a quick fix to WiFi connection problems, the TP-Link N300 WiFi Range Extender may be a simple and affordable solution. It’s important to take a look at your existing network before purchasing though, since depending on the configurations of your router you may need to choose a different model.

Luckily, TP-Link also offers another more powerful device, but it does come along with an increase in price.
